FIFA 22 calendar: all FUT promos, start dates, event leaks, more

FIFA 22 is well into its lifecycle, and the special cards just keep on coming. We’ve put together the confirmed & expected dates for all of Ultimate Team’s biggest spectacles, from Ones to Watch and Team of the Year, to Team of the Season, Future Stars, and plenty more. 

One thing’s for sure in FIFA: there’s always another promo.

EA SPORTS has ramped up their event schedule in a big way the past few FIFA cycles, blasting out special cards and promo packs basically every other week.

The deluge of upgraded stars and must-collect FUT cards hit a fever pitch in FIFA 21, and FIFA 22 has lived up to expectations and then some.

From Team of the Year and FUTMAS, to Summer Heat, FUT Birthday, and more, here’s when we’ll see all of Ultimate Team’s iconic promos in FIFA 22.

Which FUT promo is next in FIFA 22?

With Team of the Season coming to a close, leaks have suggested that Shapeshifters is next up on the schedule, although EA is yet to confirm either way.

This event usually sees the biggest names in world football swapping their usual positions on the pitch for more unfamiliar ones. For example, Trent Alexander-Arnold moving into midfield or Marcus Rashford playing through the middle.

Beyond that, Dexerto suspects the devs could have some other new special cards up their sleeves, as many of the staples have been and gone.

In FIFA 21, Summer Heat came in June with another flurry of overpowered cards, so that could be the safest bet.

FIFA 22 promo schedule

EA SPORTS never confirm an exact schedule of which promos will feature and when, but there are plenty of staples that return year upon year that are almost guaranteed to show up.

Iconic FUT events like Team of the Year, Road to the Final, Headliners, FUTMAS (now dubbed “Winter Wildcards”), Future Stars, and more are sure to arrive in FIFA 22 around the same time as usual, loaded with stunning special cards.
