2 CHILDREN, WOMAN DIE AFTER CAR HITS TRAIN

The bodies of two children and a woman were found early Thursday, 12 hours or more after they died when the car they were riding in spun out of control and into a train car.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office officials said Javoskia Harvey, Sr. was driving a red Ford Mustang Wednesday on a private dirt road used by U.S. Sugar Corp. The road runs alongside a railroad track. Harvey was driving too fast and lost control, striking a stationary train car, deputies said.

Sgt. David Johnson said the crash occurred sometime after 4 p.m. but the wreckage was not spotted until 6 a.m. Thursday by a U.S. Sugar employee.

Killed were Shartara Boldin, 21, and Uoskia Harvey Jr., 1, both of Pahokee, and Demetres Hampton, Jr., 3, of Belle Glade. Javoskia Harvey survived the crash along with 5-month-old Chrisharia Humphrey of Belle Glade and Jasmine Burroughs, 3, of Pahokee. The three were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center where they were in stable condition.
